Are you only a Christian when God is around?

http://read.ly/2Chr32.31.nkjv

God tests Hezekiah to see "all that was in his heart". A few verses prior we read that King Hezi had to repent of his puffed up view of himself. Here God allows the king to encounter the princes without his help, and now the true heart of the man will be shown.
His church friends are not around, he is there being praised for all the wonderful riches in "his" kingdom. What will he do? Will he remember the God that delivered him with the power of an angel only a short while before? Or will he so soon forget what God has done and how God has caused these blessings to fall upon him?
But isn't this where we all have been? Out in the world, away from our Sunday friends and suddenly it is hard to tell that we are any different than those around us. Who do we praise for the things God has given us? Just chalk it up to our talents and hard work, or do we give praise to the giver of all good things?
May God help me and you my friend to give honor where it is due. To God be the glory, great things He has done.
